First FFA Chapter Meeting of the Year

First FFA meeting of the year to discuss:

   - Ag Day and Tailgate at NCSU, September 9th

   -  Lee Regional Fair, September 12-17

          * Educational Booth

          * Federation Truck and Tractor Competition

   - Regional Leadership Conference, September 14

   - Chapter T-Shirts and Ad Sales

   - Collect FFA dues ($30): includes FFA t-shirt and field trip fee for State Fair trip.​

Ag Day and CALS Tail Gate

CALS Tailgate at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina before the 6 p.m. NC State vs. Marshall football game.

Tailgate 2017 will be held in conjunction with the 5th annual Ag Day. Ag Day is an important opportunity to promote the connection between NC State and the agriculture, agribusiness and biotech industries in North Carolina in front of thousands of fans at Carter-Finley Stadium.

• Adult: $25

• Student (13 years to college): $17

• Child (4 years to 13 years): $15

• Infant/Toddler (0 to 3 years): No Charge

Fair Educational Booth

We will be setting up an educational booth at the Lee Regional Fair. Educational exhibits should promote economic, social, physical and recreational growth and development of the rural and urban communities. These exhibits are designed to be judged unmanned.

• Display booth set-up will be Thursday and Friday, September 7th and 8th from 12:00pm-7:00 pm. Booths MAY NOT be set up on Saturday or Sunday. Judging will take place Monday, September 11th.

• Tear down and removal of all materials must be completed on Tuesday, September 19th from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. or Wednesday, September 20th from 3:00 - 7:00 pm, NOT BEFORE.

Truck & Tractor Competition

• 2 FFA members for truck competition & 2 FFA members for tractor competition

• Can be the same members for both competitions

Open House

We will have a table to greet students and family. This is a great recruitment opportunity for the FFA! We will need volunteers for this activity.
